Christmas 2007

We had a wonderful day! Complete with three hours of snow.... no sticking though! The kids had a blast. What a treat to watch them open gifts, play and then have the chance to stand outside and catch snowflakes with them! Thanks to all our friends and family for making the day so incredible! We love you all!

Christmas Eve!

Well, it's not Roy's favorite picture but I don't think that it is half bad considering I have two children under the age of two in the picture and no one is crying! I intentionally spiked Ethan's hair to get Roy back for the mullet he gave Ava the morning of our family pictures- that felt good! Aside from Ava looking a tad grumpy, I will take it!

Somebody has to guard the gifts

It is a tough job, keeping watch over the presents! It got a little tiring for Ava who crashed out right in front of them today. She is such a goofball- she loves to stuff a hand down into the edge her diaper and I guess that was the most comfortable position for her this afternoon!

Bubble!

Lauren was a funny little kid... she always had four or five "binkies" in possession at once. One in her mouth and then one or two in each hand. It was pretty funny (except that she kept her pacifier WAY too long). Aside from that, adorable. Well, Ava has her "thing" now. She calls her cup full of milk her "bobble". We always call Ethan's formula a bottle so she just picked that up. From Sesame Street, she has learned to identify bubbles, for example, from a bathtub. She now uses Bubble as the term for water. So when she wants to take a cup of water to bed she asks for "bubble." Last night I got a picture of her bobble and her bubble :)

Reflecting back!

Thanks to a smart purchase a few years ago, our Tivo allows us to upload and burn home videos onto DVD. I have started moving our home videos from hi8 to DVD and we have had a great time catching glimpses of both our recent past and memories from a long time ago... When talking this evening, Roy and I realized that he proposed to me 10 years ago this Christmas! And that was after two years as a couple. We have video of that proposal- courtesy of my brother, DJ and have had the opportunity to tape amazing memories all thoughout our life together. Tonight I was able to watch the short tape of our wedding (thanks, James!) and then the delivery of all three of our children. How amazing it is to be able to watch in one evening, the most beautiful moments of your life. Even more, I am so delighted my children will get to see those events. What a truly thrilling time we live in! Technology has brought some wonderful things. This has been by far, the most challenging year of our lives, but now as we reflect back, we could not be more blessed to be where we are or more excited about the direction in which we are going!

Family Pictures!

Countdown to Christmas!

Christmas is probably our favorite holiday so we were more than happy to pull out the decorations this year... more than a month early! We actually decorated at the end of November but since I just started this today I am adding the pics! Every year, I also buy the kids new PJ's- truth be told I buy them on clearance when they get marked down after the holiday the year prior-but I put them on the kids tonight and we had fun trying to get pictures of everyone. When we can figure out how to put our "shooting skills" to work I will have one of them all together but until then I will probably just have individual shots!
