Fun on the slide and swings!

Took the kids to the park today.. we have Savannah while Courtney and Wendy make their way across the country in the Uhaul. Everyone had a good time... we let them go down the slides on our sweatshirts to increase the speed. Gotta love Ava's hair!

Oktoberfest Zinzinnati 2008!

We went with our friends Tim & Kim to Oktoberfest the weekend before last. There are a couple shots from the chicken dance on Fountain Square and a couple of the booths and such downtown. Tim and Kim were dragged into a magic show... it was great! Thanks for a great time guys!

I passed my exam!

Blackout 2008!

Since there is no school, Roy and Colleen took the kids to Sharon Woods! I took a quick break from studying to post these because a couple of them are super cute!

Ike During and After!

There are half a million still without power. We were luckily restored the first day. Lauren has been out of school for two days. That was a CRAZY storm!

We got a little bit of Ike!

In the battle of Hurricane Ike versus our willow tree- Round 1 goes to Ike!! We have some MAJOR gusty winds. It is a lot of fun to watch! If you look closely you can see Roy wiping out as he tries to take the split branch off the tree. :)

We lost a good man today!

Buzz was, as my mom puts it, a "good and faithful friend." It only takes an inch or two of water and you can lose someone forever. We may finally install a toilet seat lock. "TO INFINITY AND BEYOND!"

A John Deere Family???

Grandma Colleen brought Ethan a John Deere shirt and a small tractor (Ok Daniel, it is technically a gator) back from her Minnesota trip. Ava is a HUGE fan of large vehicles-everyday she yells out,"bus" or "tractor" or "truck." Needless to say, when I put the shirt on Ethan to go to the Zoo she had a FIT! After five minutes of crying and carrying on guess who ended up with the shirt.

Back to School!!

Our camera battery charger was MIA so we did not get too many pictures last week. I did manage to snap one of Lauren on Tues (first day of school) and Roy took a quick one on Wed waiting for her bus. There will be more to come now that we are charged up and ready to roll!

She seems to be enjoying school... it is hard to start back after a busy summer but she is adjusting really well!

Lauren can SWIM!

The kids have learned a lot this year- Lauren can swim and Ava can FLY! :)
