Deer and more deer!

We left Ava's bday party Sat night and came across a bunch of deer. We took some photos and video. This first video was cute because the little thing was bouncing and frisking around! Very entertaining!

Tons of deer...

When we left Ava's party last night, I mentioned it would be the perfect time to see deer! Not one min later we came across two groups of them- 6 in the neighbor's yard and 3 on the hill. I had my camera from the party so I pulled it out and snapped away. They are a bit blurry but you get it...

I can't believe she is 3!

If you watch the video closely, you can catch the sneak attack on the birthday candle! :) Ava's cousin beat her to the punch but that's OK!! Makes a super cute story and a great video.

Happy Birthday, Ava!

Ava turns 3 today!! We had a princess party at Grandma and Grandpa's house with singing balloons and sparkly cakes. Thanks to Grandma Donna for making an amazing party! We actually captured a smile on Ethan's face, Lauren seemed to be enjoying herself and despite being sick (and a little throw up!) Ava had a great evening. Ava and her Cousin managed to wear the same outfit-right down to the shoes which was pretty funny!! It was a terrific b-day!

A Taste of Spring!

We have had a couple of nice days so Roy decided to put out the patio set and fire-pit. We got to have a really nice half hour or so making S'mores before we were rained out. It was good while it lasted! ;) The little kids were pretty surprised by the fire.. I don't think they remember how often we did this when they were little.

Down and Out!

The entire house has been down sick the last 10-14 days (except for Me-I was spared by my busy work schedule). This photo of Ava was especially heart-wrenching.

Some Catch up Posts!

Roy was co-manager of an activity for Lauren this year. Lauren was in "Odyssey of the Mind" or as they call it in Ohio, Destination Imagination. They drove up to Miami-Oxford last weekend to participate in the final competition. I don't think anyone actually "wins" at this age-but they all got medals. Here are a couple of snapshots. The skit they did had something to do with being ship-wrecked.

Nearly Spring!

Last weekend it was in the mid-70's (and Lauren was gone for the evening) so we threw the kids in the car for the first time. We got the convertible in the fall but had not taken Ava and Ethan in it until Sat. We hadn't gotten out of the driveway before the battery died but you get the idea. We are so excited for the nice weather!!

We are still here!!

I have been working almost non-stop for the last three weeks so I have taken ZERO pictures.. Life is awesome- just busy!! I will post again when I actually take some photos! :) Ava is nearly potty-trained, Lauren is doing great in school and Ethan is such a cutie. The kids are tons of fun- Roy just wishes he spent a LITTLE less fun time with them. We are working on it! Hope everyone is well. I am watching all of your blogs! Enjoy the weekend!
