Cookie Cutters!

These are posted out of order because I could not get "Photobucket" to display the slide show. Luckily, BECAUSE I couldn't get the slide show to work I know more of you will get to see the pictures as they are not always easily opened on everyone's computer. Kidlet Haircuts!

We took the kids to get haircuts today at a place called, "Cookie Cutters." It is really cute- when you walk in they have games you can play and a slide and play toy for the kids! They sit in little cars or airplanes to get their hair done and they get to pick a movie to watch while they are in the chair. Both Ethan and Ava were pretty traumatized.. I was pretty upset myself watching all of Ethan's wonderful hair disappear! Roy wants him to have "boy hair" though so I gave in just this once. I will be posting the pics from our adventure!

Finally a new song!

In my opinion it has been hard to find some good music lately!! The other night Roy and I heard this song (and actually saw a great performance!) on "So You Think You Can Dance." Between this and the new "Coldplay" song I am hoping the music dry spell is over!

Rain dance!!

About 10 minutes ago the clouds rolled in and it started to rain! Ava and Ethan love the storms (if they are on the small to medium side!) and are now ABSOLUTELY soaked!! We were going to give them a bath later but this counts right!!!?? :0)

These suckers are big!

I know there are a ton of you that have never seen a Cicada! They look AWFUL but they really are not that bad... for about a month out of the year they are absolutely everywhere which takes some getting used to but they are just a big STUPID bug. They can't see very well which means they fly at you if you make any noise. Ethan loves them- he carries them around! Even though they are tolerable, I am glad they are going away...

Parky's Farm

Lauren just finished another summer camp- she spent a week at "Parky's Farm!" She absolutely loved it!! She got to milk goats, make butter, go on a pony ride and learn about the basic care and maintenance of a farm. Ava and Ethan loved going to pick Lauren up... they were loving see all the animals and getting to pet them. Next up is a week at Cincinnati Zoo!!

It was a gorgeous day here!

I hear it's WAY too hot in Oregon... we have been enjoying some perfect 80 degree weather...

Major FAMILY time!!

We have had a very busy week!! It was fantastic... Roy's sister Wendy came in from Oregon last week and then Courtney (Roy's niece) arrived! Sharon and Don (Roy's Aunt and Uncle) arrived on Tuesday and we all got to spend some great time together. There were 10 of us by Wednesday! Wow!! Ava and Ethan were pretty sick so if you think it's loud and difficult to hang with us under normal cirumstances.. sheesh! Poor Ava has had a bad fever for two days now. Anyway.. it was so great to see all of you! Thank you for all that (you all!) did to make it possible. We have been coordinating schedules FOR MONTHS now... and I have to say that it all pulled together amazingly well. See you all next time!!

Lauren's Birthday!

Lauren turned 7 on the 1st of July!! I cannot believe she is as big as she is. Things were CRAZY around here on her birthday... I had just taken my big test the day before and barely had time to take a breath much less plan a party! Luckily, it was a group effort and I think she had a great bday! Thanks to everyone for her wonderful gifts... she got some great DS games, a favorite Webkinz, a card she loved with some CASH(!) and a ton of other stuff. I am sorry I have not had a chance to help her thank all of you... that is my fault!! I have been scrambling to play catch up. Lauren, you are our big girl!! We love you so much.... Happy Birthday!!
