Summer fun with great friends!

Daniel and Caren came from Oregon to visit us! They were here about a week with baby Lily and a good time was had by all! Sadly, I did not take too many pictures ( the upside was that meant I got to experience every bit of it and not from behind a camera!). We did pose for one the last night there were here so I am posting it. We stayed very busy... got to experience same great restaurants, Kings Island, a mini tour of the city, catching fireflies and a KILLER thunderstorm. It was so hot that week (sorry guys!) so we look forward to having you back maybe next fall. There is still so much to show you! Thanks for a great visit!!

Kid Pictures...

Roy has been playing with our new camera.. learning all the fun things to do with it. Here are some shots he took while we were roasting marshmallows on the back-porch.

Guess what we saw...

Regular blog visitors... you guessed it! DEER!! LOL As we were leaving my parents house we passed some deer laying just off to the side of the road. We love living here!

Swimming!

We went swimming today with the kids! Ethan just jumped right in and squirmed and yelled the WHOLE time for me to let go of him (um, he does not know how to swim!). It was so crazy.. Roy kept telling me to just let go of him but I kept yellling back, "I can't!!!". It is so hard for me to let go of him when I know he is going to bob around and choke on the water. As the day went on, I got a little better about giving him some room even though it was hard. After some practice, Lauren got the hang of swimming again- she can now go underwater and swim. Everyone had a great time- beautiful weather again today!

As we were leaving Kings Island today we went over to the Keyhole Photo place to view the shot they snapped when we entered the park. There was no attendant so we did not have a chance but what WAS there was a shot from the last trip Lauren and I took to the park with our friends from Oregon! There were several 8X10's on display. Pretty funny! We thought it was a good picture too!! :)

Kings Island!!

I took the day off from work to reconnect with the family and it was such a great day! We took the little ones to the kid section (Nickelodeon land) and rode a bunch of rides. Ava and Ethan have never been there... Lauren has been and was in school so hopefully she will forgive us for this trip without her. It was the perfect temperature to go. Too much fun!
