We need life insurance on Roy!!

The other day, we were sitting outside and Roy offered to grill some burgers. I check the weather forecast obsessively so I advised him that we were under a severe weather warning and it looked like we were going to get some rain soon. He quickly let me know that it was fine and went to get the burgers. Not FIVE minutes later..... (They are posted a bit out of sequence but you get the idea!)

Lauren goes to art camp!

Lauren spent last week in an art camp learning how to draw "Caribbean Adventure" photos! We think she is amazing... don't forget that she is technically not even 7 for a few another week! I have posted a picture of monkeys in a hammock, a ship on the ocean, parrots and a seagull ( in case my picture of a picture method) didn't turn out so well. This week is "Jungle Safari"... we can't wait to see what she comes home with. Lauren, you amaze us each and every day! We love you!!

ANOTHER NEST!!

So, ( I miss you, Chey!).... we found a third nest in our tree outside the garage! Holy cow! Well I suppose Holy Baby birds is more like it!! Check it out! :)

In the Pool!

Lauren has come so far from where she was when we got to Ohio--- she used to cling to the side of the pool in fear! Now she can swim with her "swimmies" and in no time- she will not need those either!! Ava has no fear and just jumps right in!! She even likes to bob around with no one holding her... even with her face going under! As soon as she learns to move her little hands and feet, she will be up to Lauren's level- probably swimming by the end of the summer! I ended up taking Ethan in the pool so there are no pictures of Ethan- but he likes to go in too! ;)

Wake Up on the Wild Side

Since we are zoo members, we were invited to "Wake Up on the Wild Side!" We went to the zoo before it opened and were served a continental breakfast while getting the chance to be up close with the fun little animals. We were given a little gift bag (which I have pictured) that had stickers and trading cards along with a little photo album of a baby rhino! They even included the ultrasound of the rhino- it was a great little gift! We got to go and see two Cheetah's run in the "Cheetah Run" which was incredible and then ride the train. The kids loved the train! When we finished with the am festivities we walked around the zoo a bit but the humidity got the best of us and we called it a day around 11. The kids did great considering we got to the zoo at 745 am! We got some amazing pictures and made some fantastic memories. We love the Cincinnati Zoo!

Off to a Reds Game!!

Our friends, Liz and Matt were in town this weekend and they treated us to a Cincinnati Reds Game. They were playing the Boston Red Sox- it was so much fun! Roy and I love being able to go to all these greats events in town-it has been such a blast. After the fireworks we walked over the bridge to the Kentucky side and had PERFECT seats on an outdoor terrace to watch the display. Fieworks over the city skyline... wow! The whole evening was really something.... Liz- I love you!We have been friends for 25 years! Some of the best memories I have are with you.... Carriage house sunsets, Motorcycle alarm clocks!!! I have to say, you married one of the nicest men on Earth! Roy and I always enjoy spending time with you both. Happy Birthday, Liz! Thank you again!

Roy visits Minnesota!

Roy was in Minnesota last weekend and had an amazing time! He was able to reconnect with some of his best friends (one friend took him "Muddin"!!). It was a much needed vacation for him after all the changes lately. He had not been "home" to Minnesota in 13 years (minus a quick trip we took together about 10 years ag0.) Here are a few of his highlights:

Outside and Playing in Sprinklers!

Two of the three kids are sick but we decided to try and make a fun afternoon if possible! Roy should NOT be running around... he injured his knee yesterday and he was at the doctor this am! It is amazing what some anti-inflammatory meds can do! Ava and Ethan were actually not loving the sprinkler too much... Ethan especially is pretty afraid of the water. Here are a couple of pictures- sorry about no makeup on me! Yikes!!

Back to the Aquarium!
